Position Overview:

As a Insulation &n Air Sealing Technician with Synergy3, you will contribute to energy conservation by conducting home energy audits, advising clients on improvements, and ensuring energy-saving measures are effectively implemented. You'll work closely with our team to provide residential solutions that promote sustainability and comfort for homeowners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Audits: Conduct 100+ energy audits annually, managing a steady workflow of 30+ active projects.
• Weatherization Tasks: Implement key weatherization measures such as air sealing and insulation installation.
• Energy Testing: Perform essential tests, including blower door tests, static pressure assessments, and evaluating heating system efficiency.
• Client Education: Educate homeowners about energy-saving opportunities and health & safety concerns within their home.
• Work Order Management: Write work order specifications for other team members and inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Documentation: Accurately document audit findings in both field and office formats.
• Energy-Saving Products: Install simple energy-saving devices like low-flow fixtures and energy-efficient light bulbs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in the industry.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• BPI Certification: Preferred, but training will be provided to obtain certification within 3-6 months.
• Flexibility: Ability to work weekends when needed.
• Communication: Excellent verbal skills with a positive attitude, comfortable with in-home consultations.
• Adaptability: Strong ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing conditions.
• License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Capacity to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods, including working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes.
• Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and climbing ladders up to 3 stories high.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Full-time position.
• Hourly wage: $25.00 - $32.00, based on experience.
